Putting Faith into Action

15

As people of faith, we recognize the moral reckoning that’s currently taking place in our country. We realize that racism, built-in to our systems, needs to be rigorously countered in how we spend our tax money. Measure J starts us on that path. It is not a new tax. It is a commitment to dedicate 10% of our spending plan to what communities really need – affordable housing, homelessness prevention, community care investment, and alternatives to incarceration.

Here in LA County, we have the opportunity to put our faith into action by voting YES ON MEASURE J, and coming alongside the campaign to promote:

  • ANTI-RACISM
  • HOUSING JUSTICE
  • ECONOMIC JUSTICE
  • RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
